Website care, server management and social media are delivered by our own team in the National Technology Park in Castletroy, Limerick. Managed security is different and we are straight about it: the 24/7 analyst capability is Acronis MDR, whose teams work from SOC 2-compliant security operations centres. VMotion does not operate its own security operations centre. We deploy it, tune it, hold the commercial relationship and act as your point of contact.

An owned tool answers none of those on its own, because the answer depends on whoever was meant to be using it. Every managed service here reports what was done: a monthly change record for website care, patch and monitoring records for servers, and full incident reports for managed security.

We do, on a schedule. Plugin and core updates tested before they go live, uptime monitoring so we know it is down before your customers tell you, daily off-server backups with a restore we have actually tested, SSL renewal, and small content fixes without a quote for every one. This is the most common starting point for businesses whose site was built by an agency they no longer talk to.

Those cover different problems. Antivirus blocks what it already recognises and backups get you back afterwards — neither one tells you an intrusion is happening. Managed security adds the missing piece: people watching, investigating the alerts software cannot resolve, and containing what is real. If nobody in your organisation is paid to watch a security console at 2am, antivirus alerts are a record of what happened rather than a chance to stop it.
